Introduction
The usage of drugs has become one of the major
problems in the society which affects the persons mentally, physically and
socially. So, society is in need of eradication of drugs. In Sri Lanka, youth
and the school children are mostly addicted to liquor, drugs, smoking and
various intoxicating substances such as; capsules, betel and betel nuts etc. So,
this project 'Eradication of Drugs' will be a blessed action to the current
situation.
Rationale
/ why
Eradication of drugs is a
social responsibility. Through this we can gain a drugs free society filled
with healthy persons with a good mentality.
Objectives
- To aware the school children about the bad issues of smoking, liquor drinking and drugs and how to prevent them.
- To minimize the usage of drugs.
- As a social responsibility.
- To save the youth and children who are going to be the backbone of the future society.
- As a attempt to re-build a healthy society.
Procedures
- Organizing the drug eradication.
- Selecting two government and two private schools from a specific district.
- Selecting 10 students from each school to the programs.
- Visiting and subject the students for a blood check-up and a dental check- up once in six months.
- Finally, educate and control the other students in the school through those selected students.
