Trees add beauty and so much more for the environment. Trees are the most important part in the environment. They can reduce our heating and cooling costs, help clean the air, add beauty and color provide shelter from the wind and sun and add value for surrounding premises. Choosing a tree should be a well thought –out decision. Tree planting can be a significant for the care of environment. If we plant a tree it is a well blessed action.
RATIONALE/WHY:
Planting tree is a way of protecting the earth. They help to clean the air, reduce waste water run-off, provide shade and beautify the environment.
OBJECTIVES:
- To control climate change through the tree planting.
- Teach team work through tree planting. Students will learn to take pride in the contributions they have made to the university and their community through this project.
- To teach the importance of environment sources through this activity.
- Encourage to plant tree in the community.
PROCEDURES:
- Organizing the tree planting.
- Selecting a particular area.
- Select the suitable trees for planting.
- Giving the awareness about the advantage of trees and tree planting by some quotes.
- Planting the shady trees among the premises.
- Maintaining the trees.
SELECTED AREA:
Faculty of Islamic studies and Arabic language premises, SEUSL.
OUTCOME:
- Trees cool the streets and the premises of university.
- Trees provides oxygen.
- Trees bring diverse groups of people together.
- Tree planting provide an opportunity for community involvement and empowerment that improves the quality of life.
- Trees can improve the efficiency of the heat pump by shading it with a tree and reducing the amount of sunlight.
