It’s a great pleasure for me to hear the good news from you that
you are going to organize a huge event in Colombo, but I am extremely sorry to
say this that I could not come to the event due to unavoidable circumstances.
First and foremost, please accept my heartiest apologies for that I
will not be able to join you on that special day. Because, as you know, I have
been working whole the day, and I have an important meeting with our committee
members on that day.

Apologising for the Absense
Sir, please accept my sincere apology for not attending the prize giving ceremony of English day competition on 28th of December 2018. I was absent because my father was suddenly fallen into ill. It was wrong of me for not informing you on that day. I am truly sorry. And I didn’t had a way to pass the message because I was in hospital with my whole family.
I can appreciate how you were angry with me because I only responsible for that prize giving ceremony. It’s all my fault. There is no excuses for me for my absence. But I faced critical situation on that day. Sir I am heart fully asking to you apologizes and hereafter I will not do like this way.
